Workshop Details
The holidays are a great time to play for friends and family, and as a learner, it’s a great opportunity for you to set and reach a goal. In this series you will learn to play both a simple melody and a fleshed-out solo arrangement of three beloved traditional carols:
- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
- Hark, The Herald Angels Sing
- We Three Kings
In the process, you’ll learn about the musical choices that create the arrangement, and just enough music theory to understand them:
- Major scales on C, G, and D
- Primary chords in C, G, and D
- Fitting chords to melody
