Course Summary: Self harm is something that clients may struggle with and use as a coping strategy to manage trauma, anxiety, or depression. Discover myths and facts about self-injury and explore vulnerabilities that can lead to an increased risk of self harm. This workshop will present types of self harm and explore core motivations. Discussion will highlight how to assess, safety plan, and treat self harm. Learners will feel more confident in being skillful with implementing targeted clinical approaches through case studies, group discussion, and concepts presented.
