Bio

Hi there! My name is Joseph Ewatuya, and I’m also known professionally as TEGA. I am a singer/songwriter from Dallas, TX also working to raise awareness for Sickle Cell Anemia. I started singing at a young age, training classically, before learning more about jazz & contemporary styles at an Arts Magnet high school, and upon graduating I received an award as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts. I started songwriting in my senior year but took it more seriously in college and started pursuing a career in original music. As TEGA,  I released my debut album in 2018 called “Body”, which is a project I fully wrote, executively produced, and performed. Currently I teach music full time, offering private voice & piano lessons for musicians of all ages and all levels of experience.
